On Friday night Candice and I stayed up til about 4:00am, catching up on some much needed "girl talk." We had such a great time. We laughed and cried with each other. I am really lucky to have such a wonderful sister-in-law. This is us after our very few hours of sleep.
At the Time Out there were so many women that they converted the Mens Restroom into a Womens for the weekend. I don't know why, but Candice and I thought it was just too cute. Mainly the flowers in the urinals...
We were able to attend this little Conference with some other great women. Jessica (Candice's cousin in law), Rhonda (Candice's Aunt) , Nancy (Candice's Mother in law) , Me, Cathy (my MIL) and Candice. We all had such a great time getting to know one another.
What is "Time Out?" It's a program put on to give women a break from life and reconnect with life's truths- truths about our role as a woman, our life's mission and our relationship with God. I had a great "Time Out." I left feeling like I am a better mom than I give myself credit. I know that I'm not the Best mom. I know I'll never win "Mom of the Year." I know I'll at some point let my kids down. But I know that I love my kids. I know that I do the basics-- and I do them well.
