I Am Proud to be an American....

This past Sunday was "Fast Sunday" at church and like many of you I fasted. I fasted for this great country that we live in. I fasted that God would have His hand in yesterday's election. And that I would be able to support our next President. That our next President would lead our country the way it should be. And that he would be able to help our country at this time of need. Yesterday, I like many of you got up and waited, and waited and waited to vote. How grateful I am to live in this country where I can wait to vote. How blessed we are. And even though the election did not go the way I necessarily thought it should go, I will support our new president, President Obama. I will support him by praying daily that Our Heavenly Father will lead him. I will not talk bad about him to others. There is nothing that I hate more than to hear people talk bad about our current president, President Bush. I like President Bush a lot. So I will not fall  in that category. So please don't complain to me.  Let's all try to come together. That is what our country needs more than anything at this time. I am proud to be an American, and I will show that pride by supporting our country's leaders.

What a wonderful attitude! I have noticed that all of the buzz has changed on the news and talk radio. Most people are saying they do hope President Obama succeeds.

I pray he will too.

Well written Rachel. I must say it will be easier said than done, but with God's help. My prayer will be for Obama's salvation and second for abortion to end.
